NURSING CAREERS

Nurses are an essential part of both the patient and the care team and the wider healthcare system. With the constant demand for nursing jobs within both the NHS and private sectors, there are variety of specialized areas a nurse can go into as they progress through their careers.

Throughout your employment you will have the opportunity to train and develop your skills so you will be capable of working in a range of roles. Salaries are banded according to roles and your years of experience.

To be eligible to move into a nursing job, you need to secure the following:

• You must have completed a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing with at least 12 months of experience in their chosen speciality.
• Nurses outside the EEA/EU are required to have minimum of 12 months experience to be able to work in the UK.
• All international candidates will need to have passed the IELTS UKVI or OET English Language exams
• The eligibility assessment would be the next stage. Nurses who have trained outside the EU/EEA and are applying as a nurse in the UK must complete an online self-assessment (CBT/OSCE) and be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
